Become More Politically Active
We encourage all women in Nova Scotia to take part in political and government decision-making. You can do this in many ways:
- Catch up on the news about your community and province as well as national issues.
- During an election, talk to the candidates running in your area.
- Vote.
- Attend council and public meetings and consultations, and make your opinions known in person or in writing.
- Support a political party that represents your point of view and that will advance your concerns and solutions.
- Support a candidate whose ideas and work reflect your concerns.
- Run for office.
- Sit on a municipal board or advisory committee.
- Sit on a provincial agency, board or commission .
- Work for a government.
