NAPE President Opposed to Removal of Famous Five From 50 Dollar Bill

St. John's, NL - Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Public and Private Employees (NAPE) President Carol Furlong has written Prime Minister Stephen Harper voicing her concern about the removal of the Famous Five from the new 50 dollar bill that is scheduled to be released this coming spring.

LeBlanc named head of Nova Scotia women's advisory council

"(Bea) LeBlanc had been the executive director of the Cape Breton Transition House before she retired.

The province has also named several other new members of the council: Wanda Bernard of Halifax; Felicia Eghan of Halifax; Ivy Shaw of Stillwater Lake; Rhonda Britton of Halifax; and Doreen Parsons of Hubbards.

Returning member Jean d'Entrement is from West Pubnico."
